A DS Arms reproduction of a T48 prototype of the US FN FAL, which the US Army almost adopted as its standard rifle. It’s on display at the DS Arms booth at the SHOT Show.
It’s interesting to note that this rifle had a Canadian advisory board because Canada was using the FN C1 A1. Canada was the first country to adapt the FN FAL.
The T48 has a body cover similar to the Canadian FN. It does not cover the length of the receiver but stops over the breach area to use a stripper clip guide to load the magazine.
It’s worth noting that I have done work for DS Arms and I rep them.
