While there are reports that came out on 13th of June of an FLA ambush on Mali Security Forces and the Russian PMC The Africa Corps (TAC), the Russians appear to be quiet about the attack. I guess it’s a bad look that with their big official launch as The Africa Corps, they right away got hit hard by FLA. (A moment ago, I posted a video of FLA with a captured pickup and a link to images after the attack, along with a list of what sources say is what the Russians lost. The list includes the two Mi-24s, if true. See: ‘There are reports that the FLA ambush cost Mali security forces and the Africa Corps (TAC) PMC dearly’: https://lnkd.in/gErSyz33)
I haven’t seen the Russian PMC acknowledge their losses from the ambush publicly, but that doesn’t mean they haven’t done so.
TAC has released a video today (14 June) of Mi-24s in action as though to say, “All is fine.” They claim the footage is from operations around Aguelhok in the Kidal region.

As a side note… The Africa Corps emblem below. You will find this emblem in recent Africa Corps videos, including the one with this posting.

The newly and officially contracted Russian PMC, The Africa Corps, has apparently put Mi-24s to work.
Based on the videos and images, it appears to be the type of terrain typically found in Mali and the Sahel. If there are Mi-24s in action now officially under the banner of The Africa Corps, under the new contract, this should be expected and no surprise.
(As someone commented on the X link, Nirvana might not be too happy with their music being used in this case. 😁 )
