This is probably not an empty threat, as there is a good chance that Israel and US intel know where Khamenei is at any one time. But maybe they don’t. But going by past performance, they likely know where the big man is at any time.
There are many Israelis today from Iran, i.e. Iranian / Persian Jews, or those who are the offspring of. It’s not improbable that Israel would use Iranian/Persian Jews as assets in Iran, just as Israel used the legendary spy, the Egyptian Jew Eli Cohen, who managed to get into the upper echelons of Syria. Cohen looked like an Arab, was from an Arab culture, understood Arab culture, Arabic was his first language, etc.
Nonetheless, I’m going to speculate on something many are thinking or considering, and that is that there are likely Iranian assets inside the regime who have turned on the regime, willingly or coerced or enticed, and are helping Israel.

“This man absolutely should not continue to exist.” Israel’s defence minister threatened to assassinate Iran’s supreme leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, after Iranian missile strikes across Israel. The missiles injured dozens, damaging a hospital, a high-rise, and several residential buildings.

While leftists and anti-Israel types like to say that Israel is a white colonial country, they never consider, or ignore, or don’t know, that there were always a community of Jews in Palestine since the diasporas of 70 AD and after the end of The Bar Kokhba Revolt of 136 AD when the Roman Emperor Hadrian renamed the province of Judea to ‘Syria Palaestina’. These Jews are not only native to the area but they looked more Middle Eastern than European white.
And while leftists and anti-Israel types like to say that Israel is a white colonial country, they never consider, or ignore, or don’t know, that Israel is a very multi-ethnic and multi-cultural society; it’s also a multi-ethnic-Jewish society, i.e. a mix of Jewish ethnicities, cultures, religiosity and politics. Israel has Ashkenazi Jews (European), Sephardic Jews who come from throughout the Middle East and North Africa… Iraqi Jews look brown and look like Iraqis, Iranian Jews look Iranian, Yemeni Jews look Yemeni, East Indian Jews look East Indian, Moroccan Jews look, well, Moroccan, Ethiopian Jews, from Africa, of course, are black, etc.
🔹Something else to consider is that there are reasons all of North Africa and the Middle East are “Arab”, speak Arabic and predominately Muslim. Refer to the 1400 years of Muslim Arab conquests, the Arab empires, the Caliphates, etc. It was Arab colonization. (And there was the [Seljuk] Turkic conquests– a non-Semitic people from Central Asia– who had converted to Islam, and went to create the Ottoman empire, the same Ottomans who destroyed Christian Byzantium.) (There was also the Persian Muslim empires, re Iran.) Arabs come from where Saudi Arabia is today, they are not native to Morocco, nor to what is Palestinian territory and Israel today. Do people think that Syria Palaestina was always Arab and Muslim? Do people think that Egypt always spoke Arabic and was Muslim? (Egyptian Coptic Christians, the natives of Egypt, have their own Pope and have managed to weather Islamic rule to continue to exist, despite the special tax called the Jizya– which was and is a racket– put on Dhimmis. Dhimmis are the people of the book, Jews and Christians. Copts make up maybe 11% or so of Egypt’s population. Copts also used to speak Coptic, an Egyptian language; the language began dying out around the 17th century but is preserved in their liturgy.) Some of the greatest Christian thinkers came from North Africa and the Middle East, when these lands were Christian, and before the Islamic conquests.
